Touhou Project is a Guinness Book-recognized doujin franchise created by a single man known as ZUN. A visual experience once described as “a fireworks display being sick” the Touhou games are a series of bullet hell shmups with an all-female cast and stellar music. Arguably most notable about Touhou, however, is the fanbase, which has taken on a life of its own, with countless music arrangements, doujins, fangames, and even unofficial anime episodes with voice acting from the likes of Rie Tanake and Kikuko Inoue!
